COLLECTIONS
The Northeastern Nevada Museum has an extensive collection of
artifacts – from hat pins to stagecoaches – that it maintains and
preserves as an enduring record of the past. The collections
department accepts donations that pertain to Elko County or
northern Nevada. For donation inquiries, please contact our
registrar.
ARCHIVES
The Northeastern Nevada Museum houses a large collection of
historical archives and a 4,000 volume library. The staff
maintains and preserves more than 50,000 photos, newspapers
dating back to 1869, documents, local government records, and
maps. We are one of the best places in town to do research on
Elko County.
The archives department is open from 9:00 am – 5:00 p.m.,
Tuesday through Thursday. Please make an appointment for
groups or for projects that require assistance from the archivist.
Appointments for Friday or the weekend must be made in advance. Please contact Toni at 775-738-3418 or
archives@museumelko.org
An index of all Museum Quarterly issues can be downloaded here as a pdf. It is organized by subject and can be searched
