WHAT'S HAPPENING AT THE MUSEUM

Hey Elko! Have You Met Delko!

The Great Humboldt Duck Race has a new chairman. His name is Delko! He has been out and about spreading the word about the Great Humboldt Duck Race. This year's Duck Race was a great success and we hope everyone that came out to watch the race had fun. Even though the Duck race is over, Delko wants you all to remember to come out next year and adopt your duck. You never know you could be next year's winner!

The Museum would like to give a BIG THANK YOU to Wal-Mart for donating the money to purchase the Duck Costume for the Great Humboldt Duck Race!!

 

And the Winner of The Great Humboldt Duck Race is??

The Great Humboldt Duck Race IV was a great success. The Museum would like to Congratulate this years Humboldt Duck Race Winner #729 Victoria Gravlin of Donuts 'N Mor. Victoria will be receiving a check for the Grand Prize of $1000! Congratulations Victoria!!

Pacific BoyChoir Academy

The Museum staff and patrons were serenaded by the Pacific BoyChoir Academy from Oakland, CA.

Nevada Day

Delko went Mining in preparation for the Nevada Day Parade.

 

Will James Society Heads to Elko

Will James Society will be heading to Elko September 30 to October 3, 2010 for their Annual Convention. Most of their meetings will be held here at the Museum. In conjunction with the Convention, our prized collection of Will James art and first edition signed books will be on display. Also on display is a tribute to Will James from award wining artist Larry Bute.
